It's all about me

Oh hey there. You caught me playing with my Alphabet Pal.

Oh, there you are again. Well, I got tired of sitting up so now I'm lying down playing on my activity mat.

I'll bet you didn' t know I could read.

This is another day but it's still all about me. I was supposed to be getting tummy time but I fell asleep.

Oh no, here it comes.....Momma's photo shoot.

Here's my.........foot.

Here's my.........left hand, with my frog wrist rattle.

Here's my.......did you say right hand?

Hear's my....nose? No, no, it's my ear.

Here's my face. If you look really close you can see peach fuss above my lip.

Here's Momma, me, and J.B. We love our pooch.

Momma's boys.

Circle of Love

This is where it all started. Because of this group Momma and Daddy met my attorney who connected them to my birthmother. Meet Mrs. Teresa who helped start the Circle of Love adoption support group. Thank you Mrs. Teresa. Mrs. Teresa has an adopted daughter from China.

This is Maria and her Momma, Ms. Julia. They are our friends. Maria is adopted, too.

This is Mrs. Emily. She is still waiting on her baby. We all know it won't be long and she'll have me a playmate!!! But for now, she's loving on me.

Ms. Katherine loves her little girl, Margaret, who came from China to be her daughter.

And this is Ms. Linda and her youngest daughter, Isabella, who came from Guatemala to be her baby.

Am I cool or what? No? O.K. then, would I be cool if I didn't have my paci in my mouth?

I love my Paw Paw!!!!

This is Maw Maw's sister, Aunt Helen, and Aunt Helens husband, Uncle Frank. They are 'Snow Birds'. They don't look like birds to me???

Easter Day

I thought the Easter Bunny was bringing me a basket but Momma said I have to wait until I get to Maw Maw's house.

Oh, here it is. Wonder what's all in it. I see books, candy for Momma and Daddy, and Similac for me. Oh, and my Easter Bunny with ears just like mine. Thanks Maw Maw.

Aunt Robin thanks for taking those ears off of me. Daddy was making fun of me.

This is Momma's best friend, Mrs. Sharon. I don't know what I'll call her but I bet I won't be able to say Mrs. Sharon. She is so pretty I drooled on her.

My birthmom, Corrie, came to see me. It's always so good to see her. We were able to visit for a while together.

My birthmoms bestfriend, Miss Jacquelin, came with her. Miss Jacquelin hasn't seen me since I was a newborn. She is so sweet.

Exploreum Trip

We went on a great adventure to the "Our Body" exhibit at the Exploreum today. We had fun. I slept through my first IMAX movie!

We had a little photo shoot afterwards. Here I am with my daddy. I'm standing on a cannon at Ft. Conde.

Fishin' Pond

My Daddy has to relocate turtles on his job sometimes. Today I'm wearing my "Fishin' pond" outfit for my Daddy.

I even have a hat so my head won't get sunburned.

Well, maybe we were not really going to the fishin' pond. We were just pretending. But Daddy really does have to protect the turtles on his job. I wonder if his turtles ever go fishin?

Visit to the Webb's

Momma took me to meet her friend, Sharon, and her family. Years ago Mrs. Sharon was burned and Momma was her nurse. They have been friends for over 10 years now. This is Mrs. Sharon's grandaughter, Liz Ann. She has a paci like me.

Mr. Ron and I are having a man to.......baby talk.

Here I am with Mrs. Lisa, Liz Ann's momma, Liz Ann, and me.

Visit to Gee Gee and Da's

I love it when I can go over and see Gee Gee, Da, and Kylie. They always fuss over me, ohhhh, and ahhhh, and say how handsome I am.

Guess who is the center of attention? Did you say me?

Are you wondering what else I do other than get baths? Well, I eat, sleep, and dirty my diaper, too. I think you have seen pictures of 2 out of 3 of those things. Momma did actually take a picture of Daddy changing one of my doodles but thank goodness she spared you the sight.
If you were wondering if that belly under my shirts was real....well see for yourself, here it is!!!! It's all me. Yeah, it's from all those tall boys I put down daily. Don't consider joining me because I won't keep this gut forever, nope, and it'll be easier for me to lose it than you! Gotta go, it's time for another tall boy before bed. See ya.

My adoption day

Today is the day set for my final adoption hearing in Probate Court with Judge Don Davis. I'm all dressed up but I'm trying to conserve my energy so forgive me for napping right now. I'll see you in court!
Well, here we are and it's all final. I'm adopted forever! I know I don't look as excited as everyone else but how excited can you look with a paci in your mouth? Momma's smiling so much I think she might break her face. Judge Davis and Attorney Donna Ames are happy for all of us.

Judge Davis was so nice.

I feel good. My birthmom was so brave to arrange my adoption. I'm so glad she picked my parents. I love her and I love my parents, too.

What a happy day for everybody: Grandma Nash, Momma, Daddy, Me, Aunt Robin, Maw Maw Hocutt, and Paw Paw Hocutt. I know Gee Gee, Da, Aunt Christen, Aunt Dana, and my birthmom, Corrie, are all happy for me today, too.

My Aunt Robin came from work to see me.

This day is a dream come true for Momma and Daddy. They said God Blessed them with me.

We all went to IHOP for breakfast after court. But I don't know how to eat this! Thanks but I think I'll just have a bottle.

On September 28th, 2007 my Momma and Daddy met my birthmom, Corrie, and my Gee Gee at the Bonefish Grill. To celebrate the finalization of my adoption Momma and Daddy went back to have supper and took me.

Here I am. I'm a Hocutt now. Luke Alan Hocutt. Momma says I am a blessed little boy to have so many people love me. I know I'm a Hocutt now but I also know my birth family loves me dearly.

Oh, I hate that you had to see me in such a chaos of colors. I know everything is clashing in this picture. Momma must not have learned that in her on-line class. Well, at least one thing matches, my eyes and my jail bird outfit.

Whew, this is easier to look at. Less color is sometimes much better. This is my bassinet. My big sister slept in it when she was a baby, too.
Oh my, you are still here.

I love my bathtime. I've learned that I can kick and splash the water. It's really cool to do that. I squeel and kick and then whoever is bathing me, either Momma or Daddy, hollars and jumps trying not to get wet. It's lots of fun. I really soak them sometimes.
