Great Grandmothers - Easter Day 2010

This is my Great Grandmother. She invited us over for Easter Dinner.

Ge Ge was here, too.

And so was my Aunt Dana and Uncle Lee.

Of course my cousins, Hunter and Hailey were here, too.

Ge Ge made Momma a birthday cake. Look, Momma's 5 years old.

Da taught me to play ball.

O.K. I'm ready, throw the ball to me.

Daddy showed me how to play croquet.

I found a stick to play with. I love sticks.

I'm ready, who wants to play with me?

This is the kitty I followed under my Great Aunt Debbies car. Did you notice I have 2 diffent outfits on in these pictures? Car grease, yeah, Momma pulled me out before I was too far to grab. The cat got away, too.

Easter Egg Hunt - April 3, 2010

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. I thought eggs were for breakfast. Why am I outside looking for them? Shouldn't we be in the kitchen?

I don't see any eggs but this stick sure looks like fun.

O.K. so I put the stick down before I got in trouble with it. Now what do I do?

I'll just take a walk and look at all the pretty white flowers.

Oh cool, maybe I can play ball with Addison and Tia.

Get ready, I'm about to throw the ball.

These aren't really eggs, they are plastic and they have candy in them!!!

Look, one of them had a slinky in it.

I found all kinds of stuff!

I think I'll hide out in the fort and eat my candy.

This is Autumn and her Paw Paw, Mr. John.

I liked those candy eggs, maybe there's some more over here.

Oh wow, I found a dog!!!!

March 2010 - Fairhope Fort Park

Momma took me to the park. Wanna see what all I did?

First I played around these tires, there's a hole in the middle of them and you can see all the way to the ground.

I loved sliding on this slide.

Look what it does to my hair!!!!! WOW!!!

Running in the fort was a lot of fun, too.

But jumping was the most fun!!! Wanna go with me next time? Ask Momma, she doesn't mind.

This is our last day here in the Smokies. I hope we come back again soon. I had a lot of fun.

I think I'll do a little reading on the ride home. Maybe I can find us a place to stay next year when we come.

Cades Cove - December 17, 2009

We went into the woods today to explore nature. Wanna see what we saw?

We saw some big rocks.

And we saw some big logs.

Then we saw some big rocks through some big logs.

And I found a big stick that I chased Momma and Daddy with.

We saw wild horses but no pony rides.

And I found a big rock to jump off. Woooohh, watch me!!!!

We saw lots of deer. Some had horns but others didn't.

The scenery was beautiful.

We were down in a cove looking up at the mountains.

There were deer everywhere.

I really liked this deer so I tried to catch her.

I chased her......

.....and chased her.....

.......but I couldn't catch her.

So then we went to see the water.

Momma and I sat on log together over the water. I thought it was funny.

The log was so big I could walk on it.

It was so big I could slide down it, too.

I really liked the water and the woods.

God made so many beautiful things to see here.

We had a lot of fun today. I hope we come back here again. Maybe next time you can come with us.

Halloween Trunk-or-Treat 2009

Greater Gulf States Fair - October 30, 2009

We went to the fair and I got to pose as a policeman. Do you think it looks real?

I got to feed the goats, too.

This is a camel and he likes to eat carrots. He's soft but he smells really bad.

Grandma held me so I could see the pig races. Wow, they can run really fast.

This was my very first fair ride ever. Daddy and I took a ride in the school bus.

Then Momma and I rode in a flying elephant.

Yes, that's a monkey on my back. He's my friend.

Daddy and I floated away in a hot air balloon together. It was fun but I made sure I held on tight so I wouldn't fall out.

Momma and I got on the Merry-Go-Round thinking it would be slow but these were racing horses. We went really, really, fast!!

This wasn't fun at all. It scared me. When Daddy and I got to the bottom I took off running away as fast as I could. I would have gotten away but I ran right into the rear end of a lady and fell down. I wouldn't even look at my Daddy for a long time after this. I didn't like it.

Now this is cool. My first motorcycle ride. And I got to ride by myself, too.

Daddy and I made up so I let him go with me on the truck ride, but I insisted that I drive.

I don't know why they made the pedals so far away. How can I drive if I can't touch the pedals?

So this is where eggs come from? Hey little chicken, can you give me an egg?

I've never heard of goats milk. I thought milk only came from cows. I really like milk, can we take one home?

Fall Festival - October 24, 2009

This is my friend, Dustin, he's 10 years old and he has a brother who looks just like him.

These are my friends, too. This is Mrs. Tammy and her son, Dylan. Dylan is 1 year older than me.

And this, of course, is ME!!!! This is my first pony ride, ever. This is great but can we go really fast? I can hold on.

I think this could be the making of a new movie, when goats go bad. Watch out Dylan!!!!

Dylan really likes the chicks. I think his daddy taught him to dig the chicks.

Pumpkin Patch Express - October 17, 2009

This is where it all started and this is the day it happened. Daddy was in South America and Momma brought me here to spend the day.

I had never really paid attention to trains before today. I really found them facinating.

After playing for a while, Momma told me to come go with her to see something really cool....

No, we didn't go to the Cemetary, that was just for show. What we saw was....a real train!!!!

And we got to ride in it, too!!!!

We took a ride to the Pumpkin Patch Barn but I didn't see any pumpkins at first, except for this one. Momma, I hope there's more here than just this.

Oh, here they are. This is the one I want.

Are these real?

I really like the rats better than the pumpkins. Can't I just have a rat instead?

I think that rat bit my finger.

I wonder if this spider bites, too.

Mr. Conductor let me blow the train whistle!! It was really, really, loud. Momma, this man is kinda creepy.....can you get me from him now, please?

After the train ride we came here and Momma let me play for a long time. I would like one of these at home.

Then we found this BIG man sitting in this LITTLE engine stoking coal.

So we took a ride.

We all looked like giants on this itsy, bitsy, train but it was fun.

Can you believe after all that we came to play at the park, too? They have everything at this place.

I love you, Momma.

This is different.

So now you know the rest of the story. Neither Momma nor I realized it was happening, but this is where it all started. Bye, bye, train. I'll be in touch.

Vacation - Our journey home - September 26, 2009

One last time in gridlock traffic crossing the Sagamore Bridge under repair. We spent hours of vaction time trying to cross this bridge. It's one of only two ways onto or off of the Cape.

Of course, I'm going to be good on the airplane. Why would anyone think otherwise?

Atlanta Airport, yipee, almost home!!!

7 hours later, still in Atlanta's airport......are we going home tonight?

Vacation - Plymouth/Salem - Friday, September 25, 2009

We started out today where everything started for the America we know today.....Plymouth, Massachusetts. How cool to be right here where the pilgrims came to shore.

Well, here it is. Not what I expected but I'm not sure what I expected. Hummm.

Here's the famous rock. You can see 1620 engraved on it if you look really closely. Ditto to the previous statement, not what I expected.

Here's the shrine built around the famous Plymouth rock. If you look through the iron gate you can see the rock again.

Behind me and Daddy is a replica of the Mayflower. I would have never gotten on that small ship to sail across the ocean!

Plymouth is not short on churches, imagine that.

Churches here, churches there, chuches everywhere.

After seeing the rock, we drove from Plymouth to Salem through huge tunnels....

over cool bridges.......

....and under double decker bridges, too.

We drove along the shoreline.

And saw the skyline.

We saw fall.

And finally made it to the Salem Witch Museum for a step back in time to 1692, a time where 19 people were killed after being accused of being witches.

This place is a little scarey. I hope they are over the accusations....

......because I think I make a handsome little witch.

Oh no, Momma, Daddy!!!!! I'm sorry. I thought it was all over, this whole witch hunt thing!!

They got me, too. HELP!!!!! Somebody, call my grandparents!!!!!!

Thank goodness they let us go. But they made us come to the dungeon to see what happened to those accused of being witches. I don't think I want to pretend to be a witch again.

This poor man was crushed with stones because he wouldn't admit or deny being a witch.

This lady starved to death in the dungeon.

And these people, well, you can see what happened to them. Being accused of being a witch was horrible!! How sad, it was all made up by some bored school kids, can you believe that?!?

Vacation - Boston, Thursday, September 24, 2009

This was a really big day on our vacation. We saw tons of stuff. I hope you'll enjoy the day as much as we did. First we started off riding the subway into Boston. I read the newspaper just like the grown ups around me.

Our first stop was by the Cranary Burial Ground established in 1660, to see all the famous people buried there. This graveyard is right in the middle of downtown Boston, can you believe that?

We first saw the burial site of.....Samuel Adams.

And then we saw the grave of Paul Revere....."The British are coming."
We also found Paul Revere's daddy's grave. Guess what his name is......Paul Revere!!! Not very original, huh?

And did you wonder where under the earth went Mother Goose? She's here!!!

And here's the site of John Hancock's grave. We also saw the graves of the victims of the Boston Massacre (March 1770), and the parents of Benjamin Franklin.

Next we started walking the Freedom Trail.

Across from the burial ground is King's Chapel.

King's Chapel is not that impressive from the street but it is very old. It wasn't open so this is all we got to see. This building was finished in 1754. Wow, that's very old.

This is Old City Hall. It was finished in 1865 and was used as City Hall until 1969.

Outside of City Hall Momma said she was going to take a ride on Daddy's back and she jumped up on this Donkey??

Concrete, Cars, and Buildings....where's the grass??

The sign tells it all. What a historical place this is.

Here's a clock tower.

Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall Marketplace AKA the "Cradle of Libety" is a public market and meeting hall built in 1742 that remains open today. Years ago, people like Sam Adams used to stand in the hall and thrill people with their anti-England rhetoric, fueling the fires of freedom. Aren't we grateful?

This was Daddy's favorite place.....Cheer's....."Where everybody knows your name."

We thought the Original Oyster House was on the Causeway in Spanish Fort. Do you think we should tell them that it's really in Boston?

The "Oldest Tavern in America" 1796.

Momma....I think he's bored stiff, come on, let's go.

The oldest house remaining in Downtown Boston built in 1680 and purchased by silversmith, Paul Revere in 1770. From this small wooden house, Paul Revere started the midnight ride to warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock of the British troops march on Concord.

Here's our clan waiting to take a peek at what lies inside the Paul Revere House.

Thank's Mr. Revere for watching out for all of us.

This is where we stopped to have lunch in the park. I played in the fountain.

I wanted to go play ball with the school kids but the gate was locked.

"One if by land, Two if by sea" The night of April 18, 1775 the Old North Church sexton climbed to the steeple of this church and held high 2 lanterns to signal Paul Revere the British were approaching by sea, not by land.

As we walked the Freedom Trail, we passed the docks of part of the Boston Harbor. One boat, two boats, three boats, four hundred.

Next we came to the Charleston Navy Yard, one of the nations first ship yards. There we saw the U.S.S. Constitution built in 1797. It's the oldest warship of the U.S. Navy, built for the battle against the British. The U.S.S Constitution won no less than 42 battles, lost none, and was never captured by the enemy! It's nickname is "Old Ironsides."

Here the cannons peep out the side of the ship.

What a gun!!!

I thought we were going to take a nap when I saw the sleeping quarters.

This is a painting of "Old Ironsides."

This is the nation's first dry dock. They manuver the ship into the dock, shut the door behind it, and then drain the water creating a dry dock to work on the bottom of the ship. How cleaver!

Last on the Freedom Trail is the Bunker Hill Monument commemorating the battle of June 17, 1775 between the British and the colonial forces. "Don't fire till you see the whites of their eyes."

Crossing the Boston Harbor by boat we got pictures of the skyline.

Blue skies, blue water, and boats are everywhere you look.

Back on land we stopped by the New England Aquarium and visited the Sea Lions.

And the Penguins, too.

Continuing our journey we passed the Massachusett's State House. Wow, what a house!

And finally, we came to the Original Cheer's to eat supper.

Daddy, are you really going to eat all that? That's the famous NORM BURGER. Oh wow, Daddy ate the whole thing and was entered into the Norm Burger Hall of Fame! Vacation - Martha's Vineyard, Wednesday, September 23, 2009

This is the ferry we rode to Marth's Vineyard. The only way to get there is by boat or airplane.

Some people took their cars on the ferry.

Daddy made me sit with him but I was having more fun running around like a chicken with my head cut off.

Oh wow, another lighthouse!

And yet another lighthouse.

Yeah, we made it!!!!

Oppps, I think we just landed on Candy Land. Who would live in a pink heart house? Only some rich person on Matha's Vineyard, that's who. What an interesting place this is.

This is the boat we're going out on to see the whales. I hope the whale doesn't swallow us like he did Jonah.

Daddy said I'm the First mate. I don't know what that means.

I don't see anything yet.

The tall tower is a monument for the pilgrims.

Another Lighthouse......but where's the house?

Momma said we're supposed to see the whales soon. I'm wondering when.

Oh my goodness!! Hey, come back.

That was cool. We saw a bunch of whales. Momma had a hard time getting pictures though so that's the best she got. Daddy took video, come over and you can see it.

Time for my milk and a break from the wind outside.

I wonder why my grandma's picture is not there.

I'm glad we didn't go out on that boat. I might have fallen over the side.

But why do we have to leave the boat? I was having fun.

Vacation - Cape Cod Potatoe Chips, Monday, September 21, 2009

Ever wonder where Cranberries grow? They grow in bogs. That's a Cranberry Bog behind me and Momma. Looks kinda nasty to me. It has lots of mice in it too, we saw them. And the green stuff, it's green sludge, yum yum. I'll skip the Cranberry juice after seeing this.

Here's a cute doggie we met while at the Cranberry Bog. The doggies walk around the Cranberry Bog and do their business. No Cranberry Sauce for me this Thanksgiving!

Ever wonder where Cape Cod Potatoe Chips come from? They come from Cape Cod!!!!

We took a tour and watched the potatoe chips being made and a really nice man brought us a bag that had just been filled with freshly cooked chips. They were still warm!!!

This is a windmill. They have lot's of windmills here.

This is a true Lighthouse. Can you see the light above the roof? That's how they used to be built, in the house. This is one of the oldest on the Cape. I think that car is, too.

There's water and boats everywhere you look here.

This boat says it's a "Cod Fish" boat. Ever wonder where Cod Fish come from??? hahaha

Me and Momma are posing in front of the Nobska Lighthouse originally built (in the house) in 1823 and rebuilt (outside of the house) in 1876. I wonder why they changed it.

Behind me and Daddy is the Nantucket Sound.

Daddy taught me how to throw really far. We threw 100 rocks into the Sound. It was really fun.

"Watch this."

Yeah, it's more fun to climb over the rock than go around it. Don't you know, that's what boys do, we climb.

And the birds thought they could rest.

Vacation - Our Resort, Sunday, September 20, 2009

This is the Resort we stayed in for a week. It's in a place called Yarmouth on Cape Cod. It's nice. It has an indoor heated pool, too. Momma said she'll take me swimming later today.

This is our view of Parker River. Boats come and go all day long from the Yatch Club next door.

Momma and I are ready to go to worship. Daddy has gone to New Hampshire today to worship and then go to his Nascar race.

Oneday I might be a Nascar driver if I get enough experience at the arcade.

This is what I like to do the most, play outside and slide.

Swinging is fun, too, especially when Momma gets my belly.

I'm so sweet.

Let's swing some more, O.K?

If you'll let me, I'll put every one of the rocks next to the boardwalk into the river. Yes, I will. Just sit down, take a break, and watch.

Vacation - September 19 - 26, 2009

We are about to go on vaction to a place called Cape Cod. This is the airplane we're going to fly in. Momma and Daddy said we all flew last year but I don't remember.

Me and Daddy are taking a nap. It's already been a long day and we still have a long way to go. Momma's tired too but she can't go to sleep because she has to hold me. I love you, Momma.

The line is over there. That's where you have to go to get a car.

What, you didn't know I can drive?

O.K. since I can't drive I'll just take another nap.

Momma brought me to the Coosa River to go swimming but I don't have a swimsuit. Guess what I did? I just went skinny dipping!!!!

I got to splash the water like crazy!!! And jump in over, and over, and over!!!!

Everytime I jumped in I had to climb back out like this. Man was this fun!!!!

Momma said she was letting me get back to nature. She said Adam and Eve were like this before they ate the forbidden apple. I don't understand.

Goodness, Skinny Dipping really takes a lot out of you. I'm exhausted.

Guess I'd better say goodbye for now. I think I'm going to be asleep for a while. Bye!

This and that - August 2009

Now that I'm in K-2 I have to learn to draw and color. I'm practicing so I can be good at it.

How did they know to put up a glass there so I couldn't throw my chips on somebody?

Momma, do you have to take pictures of everything I do?

O.K. now this is worth a photo shoot. I'm way too cool.

Don't be surprised. I've been feeding myself for a long time.

But this is new. Now I'm drinking from a real cup. This is my homework for school, learning to drink well from a real cup by myself.

Well, let me explain. You see, I pooped and it woke me up......and I thought.....since you were downstairs decorating a cake......I'd decorate up here.....and all I had......was my pooh. It really stinks in here, doesn't it?

Aunt Christin sent me some art supplies. Thanks Aunt Christin, now I don't have to use that other brown stuff that smells bad.

I'm helping wash dishes. This is fun.

O.K. this is better. Now I can really get into my work.

This is how I did it. First I put my foot over the rail, then I pulled my body up on top of the rail just like this. Oh, so now I get a big boy bed. Yeah!!!!!!

Here's my friend Blue Bear. Remember, I loved him when I was a baby. I'm a big boy now. Today I'm going to start K-2!!!

Daddy bought me a cool Cars backpack for my first day in the big boy class.

Momma, I can walk down the stairs by myself. I'm a big boy now.

See, I know where to go.

But before I hurry off for my busy day, I want to stop and smell the roses.

I love Momma's flower bed. It's so calming.

Smelling the flowers helps me to have a great beginning to my day.

O.K. time to go now.

Alright, so I can't open the car door by myself, but it won't be long before I can.

Awesome, we get a snack as soon as we get in class! This is my friend Kelsey. She and I have been friends since I was 3 months old.

Everyday life - July 2009

This is one of my favorite places to play, inside Momma's bathroom cabinet. It's full of neat stuff. Of course, Momma is always right here with me making sure I don't really get into anything.

This is my dog, J.B. He's sick even though he doesn't look like it. For some reason he can't walk anymore.

Momma had a bad day at work so Daddy and I are taking her out to dinner. If you wonder why you don't see her, it's because she's the one taking the pictures.

I'm eating a lemon. Would you like a bite?

Oh yeah, I can eat like a man. Don't worry, I'll take care of that rib on my plate.

A good meal sure helps me sleep at night. I wonder if Elmo likes ribs, too?

Grandma's House - July 18, 2009

But I don't want to go home. I want to stay here with you, Grandma.

Pool Fun - July 11, 2009

My cousins came over to swim and hangout. This is Brianna and her friend, Alisha. Alisha is helping Brianna learn to float on her back.

I prefer to float on my back the easy way.

Brandon seems to know an easier way to float, too.

Daddy joined in to show me how to swim.

Brianna gave up on the floating thing. She should try it our way.

Brandon can swim, too.

Bailey and Alisha hang out in the deep end because they can swim really good.

Uncle Mike came over, too. He and Brandon have had enough of the water for the day.

Mom and I are just relaxing by the goldfish pond. We had fun swimming today.

I'm exhausted. What a fun day. Hope you guys come back soon.

Madison and Nathan's Birthday - June 28, 2009

My friends invited me over to help celebrate their birthdays. Madison and Nathan are brother and sister.

This is what I got for Madison. Nathan and I are going to show her how it works. I got Nathan something else but he liked this better.

Nathan got his first car. It's really cool. He's learning how to drive it.

Playing in the pool was fun. Nathan's pool has a built in slide!

We all got popsicles and they were delicious.

Finally Nathan got to eat his cake. Madison didn't make it. She fell asleep.

I was glad that I got some cake. It was really good. Happy Birthday Nathan. You're my buddy.

Aunt Christin is here from Minneapolis. She came to get me so we can spend the day together.

We've come to visit Great Grandmother. This is a cat that adopted Great Grandmother.

This is my Great Grandmother. Isn't she beautiful? I'm so glad I got to come see her.

She has fresh vegetables just like my Grandma.

She has a rocking chair just like Grandma's, too.

Aunt Christin took me to see my birthmom, Corrie.

And my sister, Kylie!! How have you been? Where's your car?

Kylie is excited to see her mom, too.

Haley and Hunter were at Ge Ge and Da's house, too.

Oh, it was a party for Da! That's why everybody's here.

Now we can cool off by the pool.

Even Aunt Dana came over.

I love to swing but I like to go really high.

Momma brought me to the Wharf of Wonders so I could play. These big boys are really strong.

I don't know how they were pulling this rope. I can't get it to budge.

I'll not be afraid of the crab, for the crab should be afraid of me. It looks like supper.

After my great adventure at sea I've come to program a roller coaster. Yeah, there are lots of fun things to do here. What a cool place to spend the day.

Playground - June 12, 2009

Momma took me to the playground and I had a blast!!

You have to be careful when you are way up high so you don't fall.

You can't really fall down a slide. You might just slide down crooked, backwards, or upside down.

Some slides you can even climb up. It may look easy but I'm here to tell you, it's work!!!

Wheeew, I made it. I knew I would.

I need to do a few push ups to build up my arms for climbing.

Panama City Beach Camping Trip - May 25 - 30, 2009

Today is the best day for an adventure. Follow me and see our week of adventures!!!

Me, Momma, and Daddy have come camping. Yes, we are sleeping in a tent. It'll be fun. Come see for yourself.

Oh yeah, Elmo came, too, he's my bed buddie. We had a pallet between Momma and Daddy's air beds.

This was our pet deer. She had a bo bo on her foot. She came to our campsite every morning.

Here's my friend, Charlie. She's a year older than me. She showed me how to climb up sand mountain. We had a blast together.

This is Charlie's grammie, Mrs. Rhonda.

Daddy made me a play yard at our campsite and Momma got me this pool to cool off in. They think of everything.

Of course, we ate outside.

I just want a couple more chips, please.

What? Isn't this the style? Ghetto pants with your underware showing.

Grandma got me this beach chair so I could be just like Momma and Daddy. I'm a big boy!!

Mother's Day - May 10, 2009

Today is my mom's 2nd Mother's Day. She's a mom because of me! Last year we spent the day together with Daddy, but this year she's giving her day to her mom and my dad's family.

Here she is. This is Momma. I can't believe in all we did today we didn't get a picture together. I love you, Momma.

This is Grandma. She's Momma's, momma. When I go to Grandma's house I get to play outside almost all day. And she has a dog named Jessie that is really fun, too.

This is Maw Maw. She's my Dad's mom. I'm glad you were able to come over for Mother's Day dinner, Maw Maw.

This is Paw Paw. He's not anyone's mom. Only women can be Moms.

These are my cousins, C.J. and Colby. They are not moms, either, but they have a mom who is my Aunt. Aunt Robin came over and spent Mother's Day with us, too.

Momma took me to see Maw Maw and Paw Paw at the Regency Church of Christ Family Day. They had a petting zoo. Is this a BIG Bunny Rabbit or what???? It's as big as I am!!!

Momma brought me to an easter egg hunt and petting zoo. She said these are chickens. They don't look anything like what I eat for supper.
